Hi! I’m Michelle, but my friends call me Shelly.

I cook. I write. I create.

As a freshly graduated high school student ready to study Fine Arts at Cornish College in Seattle, I took a detour into the kitchen that’s happily changed the course of my life and career. Since 2015, I’ve pursued my twin passions of dessert and art, aiming to create work that inspires, creates community, and piques the curiosity of food.

I learned to bake at Oregon Culinary Institute in Oregon, toiled through cake shops and high production bakeries, and worked for celebrity chef Ludo Lefebvre at Petit Trois, Laduree Paris, and Michelin Guide restaurant Perle Restaurant.

Currently, I’m working on selling my artwork, creating delicious cakes through my company Kabibi, and writing my first book called Sugar, Butter, Flour. I’m very excited to show the world my passion projects! 

But mostly, I love to cook and eat with my friends, paint, watch the stars fly by, and live my best life with my dog and husband.
